About Nigel Preston

Nigel Preston is a self-confessed 'HPV Tragic'. After 'catching the bug' from his older brother, he helped launch the RACV Energy Breakthrough program at Eaglehawk SC with his dad and some mates way back in 1998. Having participated in the RACV EB for four years he finished his VCE in 2001 and volunteering to help with the event management straight away. He's been helping out ever since. Nigel has also been a part of teams that have taken line honours at the RACV EB in 2000 & 2001 (Bendigo Senior SC); the Australian International Pedal Prix 2003, 2004 & 2009 (Bendigo Youth Racing).

Join RACV Energy Breakthrough on Strava

Calling all cyclists and runners - you're invited to join the RACV Energy Breakthrough STRAVA club!
Created to connect students from schools across Victoria and beyond as they prepare for this year's event in Maryborough. Strava is the social network for athletes, where anyone can upload their physical activities (runs, rides, swims, anything!). They can then give and receive 'kudos' and comments on other friend's activities, too.

Whilst they were pipped for line honours by Energy Efficient Vehicles on both occasions - first by Rode RAGE (2015) and then by Ormeau State High School (2016) - there was still plenty for the Woodleigh team to be proud of as we discovered...

Schools in the media! (local and social)

We're getting pretty excited here in Maryborough - the home of the RACV Energy Breakthrough - and are looking forward to welcoming you. We've noticed though, that our schools and teams have been getting pretty excited themselves and sharing this excitement with their local media and through social media.
